The bed was sooooo comfortable. Staying in a boat is a really unique and charming experience, and we feel grateful to have that opportunity. Kind hosts. Watching the sunrise from the boat was magical. This place has a lot of potential to be a cozy winter cabin on the water with just a few adjustments. Safe and only a 10-15 minute walk from the train station. It was mostly great for us because we love camping, don’t expect feeling like you are in a hotel, bnb, or someone’s beloved home.
Musky moldy smell (especially in the cabinets under the sink). Strong chemical use to clean bathroom. Curtains not dark enough so the light from the outside building shines right into the bed area. Bathroom is outside the room and down some steep stairs. We had plumbing issues with the kitchen sink, shower and toilet. The host was able to take care of the sink issue right away but the shower and toilet was not fixed, (the issue with the toilet was on a Sunday so it makes sense that no one could fix it quickly, for the shower we needed to use a plunger to keep it from flooding) No proper heating just a small space heater that is not enough for winter weather. Old scratched up teflon pan and plastic cooking utensils (I suggest changing these as they are known carcinogens). We are young so it was easy for us to get in and out of the bed, but I think it would be difficult for older people as it is high up and there is only a small bench to get up, no ladder/stairs.
